Things we have been up to.

Abigail Carey Bench Morrow County fairgrounds
Philippians 4:13

Memorial Bench

This bench has been placed at the Morrow County Fairgrounds located in Mount Gilead, Ohio. 4H, showing animals, county fairs, truck, and tractor pulls were all things Abbi loved to do and see at the Fairgrounds. Abigail's favorite bible verse Philippians 4:13, and a quote she had on her Instagram about life seem to be fitting additions to the bench. A special thank you to Morrow Little theatre and patrons for your generous donation. We have plans to place a second one close to Maysville, Ky, and the Ohio River. A spot where we fished and ate pizza many times.

GeoCache

What is it?

Geocachers use a receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches," at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. As of 2021, there were over a million active players in the United States. Wikipedia

We have placed multiple Geocaches in Abigail's memory. Abbi loved to GeoCahe with her Grandma Carey. Something all the family did many times.

Check Out the Geocache Website here

We currently have two in the Series.

1. Abigail Carey loved visits to the Firehouse- She was raised around the life of public safety and service. Her grandpa, Father, both uncles, and Aunt all worked in the Fire department as volunteer to Career Firefighters. Her father is a retired Fire Chief. Her grandmother is a retired High school teacher. This shaped Abbi's life as she grew up. Abigail was around a lot of Fire Stations all over the place during her life. This cache shows that aspect.

2. Abigail Carey Stash in Carey Cemetery- This one is at a family cemetery located in Rowan County, Kentucky. Abbi loved going to Rowan and was ready to go day or night for a trip.

Abigail Carey loved E.D.S BBQ- This cache is at one of her favorite places to eat. The E.D.S sauce guys BBQ is located in Mount Gilead, Ohio. (ARCHIVED)- Unfortunately, the Mount Gilead Restaurant closed. We have moved the cache to a new location.

Pulling Truck

Abigail loved to watch the "Pulls." Truck and tractor pulls were always on her bucket list of things to watch. One of our friends knew this and decided to honor Abigail whenever he pulled his truck. Thank you, Kenneth Dendinger.
